For your site to be available to the public, you’ll need to configure your domain settings.
To do this, you’ll need to visit your domain registrar, in this case Eggplant Digital, and perform the following steps.
- Log in to your Customer Account.
- Click on Domains in the top menu or the main panel.
- Select the domain name you want to use, click the wrench icon
or select Manage DNS.
- Click DNS Management from the lift hand menu.
- Add the domain name record, by completing the following fields:
- Host Name: Type @ to point the record directly to your domain name.
- Record Type: A
- Address: Enter the IP address provided in your welcome email.
- Priority: You can leave this blank.
- Click Save Changes.
- Add a second domain name record, for www
- Host Name: “www”.
- Record Type: CNAME.
- Address: Enter your domain name here.
- Priority: You can leave this blank.
- Click Save Changes.
Please Note...
Once you have made changes to your DNS settings at the registrar, there will be 24-48 hours of DNS propagation during which your website may not be available.
