Job Summary

Eggplant Digital is looking for a highly motivated, dedicated and charismatic business development manager with 4+ years of experience selling custom digital solutions to medium and large size companies.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving the strategy, execution and growth of the company. As a key member of the business leadership team, they work in partnership with the company Directors in developing a cohesive business strategy, driving the execution and delivering performance from Beijing outwards.

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the sales of our mobile and web based digital solutions to new and existing clientele. They will be required to build their own network, follow up new leads, create successful proposals and pitch alongside the project team. Over the next 1 to 2 years, they will be required build, train and support a sales team to create a strong pipeline of projects in different key areas.

Key Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of web and mobile digital solutions and their application in a business context.
  • Client-facing service sales experience of 4+ years, with experience in targeting medium to large businesses.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with 2+ years experience in a business sales management setting.
  • Proven ability to develop, maintain and leverage strong business relationships with clients.
  • Successful experience in managing and developing sales strategies, with a thorough understanding of the sales cycle for client services.
  • Strong clientele, interpersonal and team building experience.
  • Strong strategic and organizational skills, with the adaptability to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with customers, project team, leadership team and partners.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving key business metrics, to deliver high performance and creating the ultimate customer experience.
  • Meet new and existing clients, understand their needs and help to pitch exciting proposals that ultimately win the clients business.
  • Work with our project team to create proposals and project briefs.
  • Be able to communicate well with both old and new customers in order to develop new customer relationships and maintain old customers.
  • Able to successfully use networking to promote the company’s services.
  • Drive the sales process and sales planning activities.
