Background

Paulson Institute is globally recognised non-profit think tank dedicated to creating a more resilient and sustainable world by fostering US-China relations. Eggplant Digital was hired to work with the China based team to provide cloud hosting and support for the Chinese website.

Solution

Eggplant Digital worked closely with the China based team to prepare for launching the Chinese website in China. This involved firstly preparing all the documents required to complete the ICP Number process, which can be more tricky for a Non-Profit organisation.

With the ICP Number approved within a few weeks, Eggplant Digital went on to setup an Aliyun Cloud Server, optimized for hosting a WordPress website. We also did a full code review of the website, in order to ensure the loading speed inside the China firewall. Once the website was launched, Eggplant has continued to provide WordPress Care Plan and support desk in both English and Chinese language to the team in Beijing.

Results

Eggplant Digital successfully launched the website in China on an Aliyun cloud server and continues to provide support to the Beijing team for troubleshooting both server and website issues. As part of our WordPress Care Plan, we also provide monthly reports on the progress and traffic of the website.

Recently Eggplant Digital begun a further project to create an advanced web-app platform to manage entries and judges for the Paulson Prize for Sustainability program.
