Google Announces New Linux Compute Engine Cloud Platform

Google announced at the Google I/O conference in San Francisco that it is offering an Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) cloud for running Linux virtual machines on the same framework that powers Google itself.  Google is saying that with this new Compute Engine cloud platform, users are getting 50 percent more value for their money than the other leading cloud providers.

Google has also just recently made their Google Chrome browser available for download for the iPhone and iPod Touch in Apple’s App Store.
